PDF Textfix refund policy
Version 1.2, effective
You can try PDF Textfix on your own documents before you pay. Your first 5 line edits save clean. After that, saved files carry a watermark until you buy once. The free version is there so that you know what you are buying; this page says when we refund a licence and how to ask. It is not a satisfaction guarantee: we refund only in the cases below.
The right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance. A licence for PDF Textfix is digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, and it is delivered as soon as your payment goes through. Before the checkout opens, our website asks you to agree that the licence is delivered immediately after payment and to acknowledge that you then lose your 14-day right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU; in Romania, Article 16(m) of Government Emergency Ordinance 34/2014). That agreement is recorded with your order and confirmed in the licence email (Article 8(7) of Directive 2011/83/EU). Once the licence is delivered, there is therefore no right of withdrawal for it. If a licence was issued without that record, the right of withdrawal applies as the law sets it out.
When we refund a licence bought on pdftextfix.com
We refund the full price if you ask within 14 days of the purchase and one of these applies:
- PDF Textfix does not work as described. A fault in PDF Textfix stops it from doing what this website says it does, on a Mac that meets the requirements on the download page. Tell us what you tried and what happened. If we can show you how to do it, or fix the fault promptly, we do that; otherwise we refund you. A limit that this website or the app’s Help describes, such as a kind of file or of edit that PDF Textfix does not handle, is not a fault.
- You bought it twice by mistake. We refund the purchase you did not mean to make, and revoke the licence it delivered.
- Your licence never arrived. The licence email did not reach you, and neither the licence page nor our support could get the licence to you.
Otherwise, a purchase is final: we do not refund a licence because you changed your mind, no longer need it, did not use it, found another app, or expected something this website does not say PDF Textfix does.
Rules for every refund
- Once per licence. We refund a licence once, in full, and only to the card or account it was paid with.
- A refunded licence is revoked. Later versions of PDF Textfix no longer accept it, and they save with the free version’s watermark once the free line edits are used. Files you saved before the refund stay as they are.
- Buying again after a refund. We may decline a new order from someone whose earlier purchases were refunded, in particular after more than one refund; a declined order is refunded in full and delivers no licence.
- Disputed payments. If you dispute the payment for a delivered licence with your bank or card issuer instead of asking us, Paddle and we contest the dispute with the record of the order and of the licence’s delivery: the order, the agreement you gave before the checkout opened, as recorded with the order, and the email that carried the licence. If the payment is returned to you all the same, the licence is revoked as after a refund. Ask us first: when one of the cases above applies, a refund is quicker.
Your rights when the app does not work as described
Nothing on this page limits the rights the law gives you. If PDF Textfix does not work as described and you are a consumer, you have the remedies of Directive (EU) 2019/770 on digital content, as Romania transposed it by Government Emergency Ordinance 141/2021, or of the law of the country where you live: having the app brought into conformity, a price reduction, or ending the contract and getting your money back. These remedies do not end after 14 days, and the terms set them out.
How to ask
Use either route, and say which case applies:
- Find your order at paddle.net with the email address you used at checkout, and request a refund there. Paddle is the merchant of record for our orders, so Paddle returns the money.
- Or write to contact@pocketimplementation.com with the email address you used and, if you have it, the order number from your receipt. We ask Paddle to refund you.
The money goes back to the card or account you paid with, including the tax you paid. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank or payment provider.
A purchase in the Mac App Store
Apple sells the in-app purchase that unlocks the Mac App Store version, so Apple handles its refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple Account. We cannot refund an App Store purchase ourselves, and we never see your payment details.
Questions
Write to contact@pocketimplementation.com. The licence page says what to do when a licence email does not arrive, the support page answers the other questions people ask, and the pricing page lists the price in each region.
