Update feed
This folder holds the update feed of the version of PDF Textfix downloaded from pdftextfix.com. There is nothing here to open by hand.
What the folder holds

appcast.xml, the feed: one entry per release, with its version, its minimum macOS, its release notes as plain text, and the address and signature of its archive. It is published with the first release. -
The zip archive of each release, such as
PDF-Textfix-1.0.0-418.zip. Each archive is signed with the key whose public half is built into the app, and the app installs it only when that signature verifies.
The feed's address never changes, so every version can find the next one.
Who reads it
Only the version of PDF Textfix downloaded from this site, and only when you allow it. It asks before its first automatic check, and Help > Check for Updates… checks at once whenever you choose it. The version from the Mac App Store never reads this feed; the App Store updates it.
What a check sends
A check is one HTTPS request for the update feed: like every web request it carries your IP address, and it names the app, its version and the version of Sparkle, the framework that installs the updates. No system profile is sent, and nothing about your documents leaves your Mac. There is no account. The privacy policy has the details.
